Hi

Was wondering how people knew the difference with real labour and braxton hicks? I have been getting braxton hicks for the last few days. However today the pains have been here for probs 2/3 hrs. Top of tummy tightening up and back pain.

I have went for a bath and took paracetamol however this hasn't helped at all.

This is my 3rd pregnancy however with my 2 babies i got induced so didn't start labour myself,

I also have Gestational diabetes and also group b strep. Currently 34 wks.

Hello mum of two here, was induced for my first she was 14 days over due.

Second time I woke up at 4am feeling like I need to go to the toilet for a number two (TMI SORRY) lol

sat in the bathroom waiting, nothing, just kept feeling like I need to go then all of sudden the pain just got worse up my back then my tummy then I new it's go time!

You can 100% tell the difference, when you know you'll know!

Good luck Smile

I also have group b strep nothing to worry about they just said to me come on down now when I rang and said I'm in labour.

Normally they make you wait at home for the labour to progress but with group b strep they want you in so they can get that drip in you!

Hope this helps

BH aren't regular or increasingly worse. That was my only distinction.

BH don't really hurt. They can feel a bit odd, but contractions are glaringly uncomfortable and you feel them in your bum and crotch as well as your bump.
