Hi there,

I'm 32 weeks pregnant, been using Aydin medinova private hospital for check up and scans. 1st thing I asked my DR was can I have my husband or my mum in room with me for natural birth. He said yes. Now months later he is saying no. So I am now looking for a hospital which will allows someone with you throughout the birth. Does anyone know any of the best hospitals to use. in any of these locations Izmir, bodrum, Kusadasi or Soke .

Would appreciate any help.
Thanks.

I don't have any experience of maternity services in Turkey - but having lived in Istanbul and used private healthcare, I've found them to be very patient focused as they're aware you could take your business elsewhere. Does the hospital have a patient liaison manager? Who can discuss your concerns with the doctor?

If you're prepared to travel to Istanbul, I know Memorial Hospital and the American Hospital both have excellent patient liaison services and are very experienced in dealing with foreign patients.
