Peppermint oil after c section?

I'm having my 4th section tomorrow and I remember having peppermint medicine after my last one for trapped wind. Do they still give this, and if not where can I get some? It really helped and although I'll take some peppermint teabags I'm not sure it'll be enough!

Yes but you have to ask for it.

If you get someone to pop to Holland and Barrett for you they stock it in capsule form. Gives you minty fresh breath too!

I was offered (and gratefully accepted) some peppermint oil after my section 4 weeks ago

OMG yes, take some in (I'm taking buscopam in with me next time). Trapped c section wind left me literally crippled for two days and hospital so unsympathetic.

Thank you all! Got some capsules, and will definitely be asking for the oil if it's really bad. Roll on tomorrow!!!!
