When will my periods come back post partum and when can I get pregnant again???

Had a baby ooooh 22 weeks ago. Am bfing. No periods, nada! Like that. But have lots of CM now and think I may be ovulating. I know you can ovulate before periods return but thought it was just one month before they come back????

Also have regular PMT like cravings and gurgling ovulating feeling (yeah, I know, I'm a weird bugger, deal with it).

Anyone?

my periods returned at about 8/9 months with my first 2 kids, third baby is sonly 6 months and nothing yet. entirely possible to become pregnant tho, would you like to be?

18 months and counting here! but getting htat pmt feeling a lot lately!

My Gp reckons she didn't have periods between her three kids (each two years apart) which is why I asked.

mine came back after 6 weeks (yes lucky me!!!) I have no idea when you can get pregnant ... if it was me ANYTIME!

my periods came back after about 10-12m with first 2 babies. 9m after 3rd baby now, no periods yet. only had 2 periods between first 2 kids. it's rather nice not having periods i reckon.
I would think you can only ovulate once before you see a period - but you could get pregnant then couldn't you and not see a period at all. presumably.
so sounds like you could fall anytime! do you really want to already tinkerbellhp?

My last period was april 05!
I found out I was PG when DD was 11 months and excl BF her until she was 1 (preggy boobs and my very strong, greedy daughter did not make for a pleasant experience!)
So your gp could have been right, I didn't use any contraceptive after DD was born and just waited to see when I would get pregnant!

That might not be very clear! I am 10 weeks PG now and haven't had a period since before DD was born last year...

My mums best friend was pg again at her 6 week check and was bf so I would say yes you could get pg again without having the physical periods - and hearing you on the strange gurgles!!!

the only tricky bit would be realising you're pregnant. missing your periods is a pretty big clue. so if you're not having any - could you be pregnant already? perhaps it's not PMT but pregancy cravings?
PippiLS I feel for you having to start your periods aagin so soon. bad luck. but at least you will surely know if you get PG again soon!

Chirpygirl - congrats

Count to ten - lawks that must have been a shock....six week check up and pregnant.

Mind you my mum conceived me a staggering two WEEKS after she had my brother (fertile bugger)

Oh and ZZoey, I've only had sex once since little tinks was born (sadly) and husband swore if I got pregnant just from that once he was wearing a suit of armour to bed in future!!!
