If your baby is a breech...

Then when do they book the caesarean for? Would it be booked for 40 weeks (roughly) or more closer to 37? I have a growth scan tomorrow as baby is not hitting the 10th centile (35 weeks) line and it's also in a breech position; when do you think, if they will, book a caesarean for (week wise)?Sad

39 weeks for breech. If there are other problems could be earlier though.

Breech on its own with no risk factors then nearer 40 weeks. With iugr it depends on the severity and if the baby is likely to grow better on the inside or on the outside!

Mine was booked for a few days before I was 40 weeks.

Same here, it was booked for 39+4, and if you go into labour before the booked date you just go straight to the hospital.

Hi! Is your baby not hitting the 10th centile on a personalised GROW chart?

It sounds quite likely that they will want to deliver your baby a bit early, possibly 37-38 weeks. If this is the case and your baby is still breech, they'll recommend a caesarean after two steroid injections 24 hours apart.

Mine was booked for 39 ish weeks but my waters broke so I went in at 38+6 for EMCS. It was absolutely fine even though it was an emergency.
