I'm currently 39 weeks with first baby and baby has been measuring on the small but healthy side for the past few months. However, following a scan today growth has stalled and the doctor has decided to induce me.
Was admitted straight away and had to wait for DH to bring across my hospital bag etc.
Feeling so unprepared and really wasn't expecting to not even be able to go home and prepare first.
Anyone else been in the same situation or had a positive induction experience?
So worried I'm going to end up here for days and have an awful labour. Sad

Hiya

I had to be induced as I was 10 days over my due date.

Please try not to worry. It'll do you no good. I actually think being induced is much better because as a first time mum I had no idea what to expect when I went into labour and if I would know if I was in labour. So you're already in the hospital and have all those health professionals to ask and no risk of being sent home. Winner in my eyes. Even though I was totally fed up lol.

I went in on Friday 14th October 16 8am. Had 2 sweeps and my contractions started that evening about 8pm. My son was born at 7.16am Saturday 15th October. Not all inductions and labours last days. Just stay positive and all I'll say is keep in control of yourself. I lost all control of who I was and what I was there for and did have a traumatic time in the end. I'm a drama queen anyway haha.

Whatever happens put it down to experience. You never know your storey may help someone else one day. Once your baby is born everything becomes worth it and you'll feel love like you've never known!

Be excited that you get to meet your baby a bit sooner ❤
