Weird pins and needles feeling post c-section

I had a c-section on Tuesday and came home yesterday. Today I've developed a weird pins and needles feeling all over my scalp. It feels like ants crawling under my hair and is worse when I use my muscles like when I am eating.

Has anyone else experienced this? I would phone the midwife but I am scared they will make me go back in when I have only just escaped.

Did you lose a lot of blood during C-section? +Do you know your haemoglobin levels/if you're iron-deficient anaemic ?
Pins & needles wouldn't be unusual in this situation.
Give your midwife a call in the morning for advice.

Thanks BobbyNoggle. Yes! I did lose lots of blood (over 1l) and am on twice-daily iron tablets, so if that's a common symptom of that I feel much better. Thank you. I'll call them tomorrow to check.
