ok, i think in your case, there was some query because of previous damage/adhesions , yes?
firstly. why would you need a 6 month recovery? is this presuming you would have major complications?
re 3rd c.s being horizontal..think your friend has had her wires crossed as all c.s , virtually all, are not a horizontal cut, in the bikini line , in the lower uterine segment..
the old way was the classical , vertical incision, which is though to be weaker when attempting VBAC
unless there is some real issue with position of the baby or somesuch, then the scar will be the usual LUSC cut....
can you get a second opinion from another obs /gynae...all due respect to your GP, but you need specialist advice here....
