Really hope someone can give me some advice/experience.

dc3 was induced and took 2 days but was only in active labor for an hour apparently, so all happened very quickly. Don't know if that is relevant to the question or not.
I
Anyway, I had a 1st and 2nd degree tear, aswell as a labia tear (Shock) which required stitches.

I was told to take baths and the stitches would just dissolve.

I noticed when I was in the bath, I could feel something by my bum.

I got the mirror and had a look (ShockShockShockShock) there is a little lump sticking out my bum Blush. Does anyone know what it is? And should I be worried? Have just moved house so need to register at the Drs to book my 6 week appointment.

Also, the stitches look like there's no sign of them going anywhere soon. Dc is 9 days old tomorrow, I had stitches with dc2 but can't remember how long it took for them for to dissolve. Infact I don't think I ever looked!

Congratulations on your new baby

Piles! One of the many joys of childbirth!!

Meadows76 · 19/11/2016 21:31

Probably piles. Get yourself some cream and pessaries

Armbags · 19/11/2016 21:33

Piles?
And yeah, stitches can take a while. Mine was weeks before they came out.
I can't believe you haven't looked before now... I spent so much time inspecting my privates with a compact after birth!
Do go to doc if you're worried though. Isn't the midwife checking your stitches?

duckyisback · 19/11/2016 22:07

Omg thank god! I was reading all different things!

Will it go away itself or can I buy stuff for it?

Midwife hasn't looked at the stitches she's just asked if it all feels ok.

Thank you so much everyone Grin
