I am 38+1 with my first pregnancy. I lost some of my mucus plug around 34 weeks and then nothing.

Since Saturday I've been having waves of really bad nausea which is strange as I had no sickness at all through pregnancy. My baby's movements have increased over the last 48 hours and I am beginning to feel a lot of pressure/movement low down.

I've had blobs of what I assume is my mucus plug come away since Saturday as well as greatly increased vaginal discharge and I've had episodes of diahorrea today as well.

So my question is do the combination of these symptoms mean labour could be on its way soon or is it just classic end of pregnancy joy?!

Everything was ready for me to go at 38 weeks, I lost plug, baby increased movements and lots of other signs, yet I still didn't have her until 40+13. It might be it, it might not be. I got fed up of telling myself that "this is it". I know it's hard to try to keep it from your mind but he best thing to do is to tell yourself you'll be as late as possible and then anything before is a bonus!!
Good luck with the birth and your little one. Grin

Could just be your body getting ready. Worth a call to the out of hours midwives re the increase in movement. As any change in movement should be looked at, it's not just decreased movement.
