Its your first CS?
I don't know what happens at these appointments as I had an em CS but I would think if you have any concerns or questions it would be the time to bring it up.

A couple of things to think about (things I would want to be different a second time around).
Do you want to see the baby being delivered? If yes ask if it is possible to lower the screen so you can see the baby as soon as it is out of you?
Make sure (unless there are problems) that they agree to bring the baby directly to you for you to see, touch before they take it away for observation or cleaning up. They could give it directly to your dp/dh/birhtpartner to bring to you.
Are you planning to breastfeed? Make sure they know and insist that the baby is with you as soon as you are able to feed it.

you will have to have an idea of what date you want to go in and in my experience thats about it all of the things the other poster put dont really need to be said until the morning you go in for the birth as i never saw the person again who did my pre appt for my section

Chat about what is going to happen - I also saw the anaethetist who weighed me and gave me some antacid to take the night before and the morning of surgery. Go through procedure of the day and what you can do prior re: eating and drinking.

They will just go through what will happen and they may get you to sign consent forms.

Thanks for the replies, it is my 2nd section, 1st being an emergency and this being elective.

It was a great appointment, really put my mind at rest and as you said LL, they told me i can see the baby while they lower the screen and then do the skin-to-skin thing...I almost cried there and then

Thanks.
