What did you wear in birth pool?

If you gave birth in a birth pool at a hospital did you wear anything on top?

Nothing - as soon as the pool was ready I couldn't whip all of my clothes off fast enough, definitely some sort of primal urge as I'm normally a bit of a prude!

Ibjad at home water birth and wore a bikini top. It was 16 hours in and out of the pool and my 5 yr old was at ho too so didn't want to completely traumatise her!

A vest top for both of my water births

Maternity crop top until the end. Then took it off when DS turned up

Nothing! Could not have cared less by that point

I didn't care either. I just forgot to take it off really. I had no clue what was happening with all the lovely lovely G&A.

Nothing. Clothes even a bra felt way too hot and tight.

Nothing. Packed a bikini top but was way beyond knowing what was going on.

I had a tankini and just whipped off the bottoms to push. Then the tankini top had clips to breastfeed but, really, at that point, you might as well be naked.

"whipped" ha, only in my drug addled mind would it have approached 'whipping' off the bottoms, with hindsight I imagine it was a less swift process.

I expected to have nothing on the bottom half and a tankini on the top.

When it came to it, I was so hot I just pulled everything off and waddled over to the pool. It's true what they say about not caring!

A bra

Nothing!

A bra but it got wet and took that off too. I couldn't be bothered at that time.

Nothing. I did have a vest top in my bag in case I wanted it but when it came to it I was just desperate to get in so just stripped off and climbed in
