Can you still have a c-section (elective) if you have a cold??

Title says it all - my c-section is booked for next wed - and I have now got a stinking cold! Sneezing my head off and dripping everywhere - lovely!

Any recommendations of how to get rid of it ASAP - at least it came this week rather than next week!

Hopefully it should be gone by next wednesday!

I think it depends on whether or not you have a temperature.

It'll be gone by then. But when they did mine, they didn't care what was wrong with the head end as long as they could get at the round end!

If you are worried, call them and tell them. Worst case scenario is they will tell you to go to the docs and check it's not something serious. More likely they'll say 'get some rest, and you'll be tickedy boo'

steam , and plenty of honey & lemon drinks, and being waited on hand and foot x
