Positive plus size birth stories

Does anyone on here have one to share?

I am 35 weeks with my first following 2 miscarriages. Have been very lucky this pregnancy, my health is perfect, baby is on larger end but within normal bounds. He's already head down though not yet engaged.

Yet every time I see the consultants they give me the impression I am doomed to have a birth with multiple complications and interventions. When challenged they can't back up why.

Anyone have any calm peaceful birth stories to share?

Yes! 10lb 14 baby :) Birth pool in birth centre, no internal examinations, no pain relief at all, not even G&A! 4 hour labour. A few stitches, but healed quickly. Good luck xx

1st baby 9lbs7, textbook birth, 6 hr labour
2nd pregnancy twins at 36 weeks, natural birth with 2nd breech. 3 hr labour
No problems at all with either, just gas and air, and no stitches.
I can't remember what my bmi was but I was a size 20 at the time.

Hour and a half from waters breaking to baby. Complication free birth and perfectly healthy DD2. Honestly the doom and gloom way the consultants went on with me was ridiculous - I was a size eight when I had my eldest (big age gap) and my labour with her was infinitely more difficult
