This might seem pathetic, but what can I write in my friend's congratulations card (they've just had a baby daughter)
Have got as far as "Congratulations on the birth of XXX" and want to mention how happy I am, wish them all the best and that I hope she brings them a lot of joy. But I can't phrase it properly, it sounds artificial!

Dear

so delighted to hear of the safe arrival of your darling daughter....! you must be overjoyed ! Can;t wait to meet her, bet she is gorgeous!

Wishing you every happiness, and i am sure you little one will bring so much joy to you ...enjoy every moment !

xxxx

BUT..if you would not usually be so 'gushy', don;t force it !!

emmatomATO · 04/02/2007 17:47

What you've already said sounds good. I always add 'Welcome to the World Little One'.

Katy44 · 04/02/2007 17:50

Thanks lulumama and emma, will do a combination of those
lulumama - I wouldn't be so gushy because I wouldn't normally feel it - but I do this time! I was reading the email at work they sent with tears streaming down my cheeks!
