39+2 and waking with awful pain in pubis area

I'm 39 weeks and the last couple of nights I've woken at 2ish with awful pain in the front centre of pubis, I'm assuming it's the ligaments of the pelvic symphysis stretching, but God it hurts! Takes my breath away. Did anyone else get this right at the end?

I did. I got shooting pains a lot, but mainly in bed. The worst pain was turning over and getting out of bed.
Top tip- do it with your legs/ knees together... It hurts less. Oh and don't stand on one leg (ie to put knickers on!)
I mentioned it to midwife but there isn't much they can do.

We are EDD and pain twins! Had exactly that this morning when I rolled over and nearly woke DH with my whimpering! Had a few twinges the last week when moving but really hurt today, hot water bottle helped and advice to move with knees together sounds good.
