Hey ladies!

Impending cs is 15 days away! I have 100 or more questions going round in my mind lol. But the most important one is, did you get help with your baby the night you had your baby by cs??? Im panicking about managing with him on my own, or ending up waiting ages for help off someone while my baby cries because hes hungry?

Can anyone put my mind at rest? What normally happens?

Hi Julezboo,
I also know people who have had a section in cardiff and I have never heard any of them say they didn't recieve adequate help afterwards.Have you spoken to your midwife about your concerns?I'm sure she could put your mind at ease.
Do you have support during/after the birth?
Really try not to worry and I would definately contact midwife or hospital and raise your concerns.

thanks girls
My partner will be there, but from what I can gather he will be kicked out at around 8pm!

Ive had a section before but up north, and my baby was taken to special care then, this time (fingers crossed) he wont be.

Jo - i will email you thanks x x x

Are you going into the Heath julez?

I worked on there as part of my placement and 24 hours post-op they dont expect the women to do anything, even reach for a glass of water. My friend just had a section there too and said the same thing.

On the downside, after that they pretty much expect you to get on with it. I will say that they are very understaffed and some of the midwives are less than pleasant. However when I had ds my midwives were amazing and I couldnt have asked for more.

Good luck

yes I am mosschops!

From the notes they have given me they will help you for the first 24 hours, I am hopingto be up and about after that though, I just cant wait to get my arms round my baby

Its good to know they help for the first 24 hours, I havnt met many of the midwives because my community mw's are not from heath.

I am there tomorrow for a trace and I have lots of questions to ask thanks again x x
