Feeling sick

Hi everyone

This has probably been asked many times but I can't search previous threads on my phone, so apologies.

I was just wondering if anyone felt sick or was sick before they went into labour, if so how long before contractions started?

I am 39+2 and been having backache, and aching under my bump for days! Tonight now I was sat down eating my tea about half an hour ago and suddenly felt very nauseous and had to get to the bathroom. I wasn't sick but have felt waves of nausea since.

Just wondering am I coming down with something or could this be it?! I'm so fed up I'm hoping for any sign!! TIA

I was sick a lot during all labours (3) so it could be!

I had the other end just after waters broke- I'd read it's the bodies' way of " clearing the way"- this may apply to your tummy too. Hope all goes well. Xx

No waters or even any mucous plug yet. I know this could happen after contractions start but I am afraid to get my hopes up really. Knowing my luck I have food poisoning or something.

I was sick from about 8h before until about 3 days after. Had to be on a drip and given anti-emetics. I had an infection, though.

Yep sickness and diarrhoea can be signs of early labour. Can happen days before active labour though so don't get your hopes up to much. Either way you will have your baby in the next 2ish weeks

I had BH until just after midnight last night but then hey stopped and didn't have anything through the night. I have felt a little bit sick this morning and a lot of back ache again - have had it for weeks-, with some strong aches under my bump. But to be honest nothing I haven't been feeling for a while. Feel lien this is never going to happen
