Gave birth to waters intact!

When I was in labour with my 2nd son I gave birth to my waters still intact like a huge water balloon. I've wondered for years if this is rare and can't seem to find anything on google apart from the baby being born in the sac which LO wasn't. It was the strangest experience ever and I just wondered if anyone had experienced something similar?

I know this is old, but this exact thing happened to me with my 3rd child back in 2011. I came researching now because I just saw a video of baby being born in sac, and then I was confused on how I birthed the sac in whole without the baby?! I never really put much thought in it before. Good to know I'm not the only one, though I'm still confused now and will have to research.
But here's what happened. Right when the nurse walked out from checking on me, I all the sudden felt this pressure! I thought the baby was coming. Started freaking out saying the baby is coming, telling my fiance I cant stop it! By this time it felt like the head was crowning and then it was coming no matter what lol. About the time the nurse walked in the water sac was "delivered " she kinda freaked and went to get another nurse and then asked her if she had ever seen anything like this before. That nurse said oh ya I have. They had to pop it themselves. Only thing I regret is not sitting up to look at it. I was just so confused and freaked lol.

My 2nd and 4th were both born in their waters, the pressure is so my more intense than when water break before birth

There are two types of caul..one exactly like described above and a 'true caul'. I was born like this..my Mum said I had 'an electric blue hairnet 'over my face and head..the midwife had to peel it off..We are 'Caul Bearers' and said to have psychic powers.. I haven't, but have uncanny instincts. Google it..it is very wooo! It also states that the caul was part of me and the midwife should have saved it for me, but it was the 60s. Mum said the midwife was very careful with it as she took it away. Mum was too shocked after my birth to say anything but she does regret me not having it now.

I'm not a mom but I was born the same exact way as your child. I was searching the internet trying to find out if maybe I had a twin that died early in the womb. Either I was born outside the amniotic sac or there were two amniotic sacs, possibly one with a twin. The doctor was shocked and told my parents he had never seen anything like it, so I'm assuming it's very rare. Though I'm happy to know that I am not the only person born like this. ;)

Also, this is a very late comment and I hope you receive it =D

Yes this happened to me when my second child was born five years ago. No waters ever broke and the sac came out before the baby with the waters intact. Cannot fin anything on internet about it. Midwives said at the time it was rare and supposed to be good luck. My brother who is a go didn’t believe me Angry

Not got an answer why.. but this happened with my daughter then they popped on other end of the water pool she wasn’t in them but her poop was :/ very weird x

It happend with my first born!! And my third baby too .. Iv actually got a photo that my mum took it looked like a huge balloon! The midwife told me I could either have my first born in the sac or she could break them I asked which was easiest and she said if she broke them it'll be quicker so went for that!
Supppse to be rare though xx

I would of had this, thought it was quite rare but I was pushing for a while in the birthing pool and baby wasn't coming out so they got me out into the bed to have a look why she wasn't coming, turns out the waters were intact and were stopping her getting out....I'd never heard of that ever. They popped them then a push later she was out
