When I had my second baby girl in hospital, no one was ready for her arrival. They told us it would be another 6 hours! I couldn't stop laughing when they found out the baby was coming out! I didn't know as I had an epidural and totally out of it due to non-stop gas and air! They all went to have a break! There was a student midwife who refused to deliver my baby! I don't blame her though as my contractions stopped, fetal heart rate dropped and they raised my bed almost to the ceiling! Thank God the Registrar came to our rescue. My husband was panicking as he thought he was gonna have to catch the baby.
I was induced on Thursday night due to pre-eclampsia at 37wks and she wasn't born until 05:58am on Saturday! We had to order pizza to the delivery suite and I was trying to eat it between contractions and tens machine electric shocks! When hubby put it away he got shocks too!
Also, when they broke my waters it all fell in my husband's shoes which he left under my bed!
We all alright now, but my husband is too traumatised to have another baby!

Aw I know just how you feel another examination showed hours to go so off they all went for their break only thing was unlike your hubby mine DID have to catch the baby. She turned out to be our second and last but that was a choice we had made prior to events.Your husband should be proud he was there and he would have done it if he had to believe me.
