Have my waters just broke?

Morning ladies!
39w tomorrow... Felt a weird 'popping' sensation mid-belly this morning which I've never felt before. Got up, fed dog, done normal first morning pee... However this has been followed by 2 extra small gushes / leaks which have led me to run back to the toilet. Not dark coloured (as is expect from morning pee), and no particular smell (which again I would expect from morning pee).

I'm not normally a pee-leaker... Just wondering if this could be my waters breaking?!

I meant exciting in my last post Blush but I guess the baby WILL be exiting so still kind of made sense!

Glad to hear it's all started, fingers crossed baby doesn't keep you waiting much longer, 8 June seems a good day to be born Smile

My midwife didn't believe I was as far along as labour as I actually was she was an idiot by the time she eventually checked me (after trying to send me home) I was 10cm and ready to push, too late for drugs and I didn't want G&A because I don't like the thought of it, so thought sod the drugs the end is in sight and DS arrived 40 mins later!

How goes it jellybelly?

jellybelly85 · 08/06/2016 21:12

So far so good. Had 12 hrs on the Tens, with contractions progressing to every 4-5 mins. Every 3rd contraction is excruciating. Currently sitting in the bath which seems to have slowed them down to every 7-8mins but less pain, which is quite welcome after 12 hrs!

Well done you're doing great! Try and get some rest if you can X

That's great progress! Hope it all goes smoothly for you. Every contraction you get through is one less ahead of you!

Just popping in to see if there's any news about a certain small squishy newborn Smile

After my waters breaking and contractions starting at 6am yesterday, my baby boy finally arrived by forceps at midday today. Quite a dramatic labour in the end; highlights being 18 hrs of near-constant contractions, epidural which took 3 attempts to get sorted, then a trip to theatre for a sucessful forceps interventions (thereby avoiding c-section). Thanks for your kind words of support Smile currently enjoying newborn baby snuggles!
