When announcing the arrival of your baby to your siblings if they weren't together with their ohs (as in the same place cos one or both were out/at work etc) did you tell the oh seperately either by phone call or quick text/fb msg?

Nope but then dh is one of 5 so we just told his mother and let her break the happy news to the rest of the family. This was pre Facebook though so I don't know if the social rules have changed.

God no. Their partner = their responsibility to inform! You have enough to be doing!

oddboots I like the idea of just telling grandparents and letting them be the ones to tell everyone else. Saves me a job
