How long for after the delivery did everyone do their pelvic floor (kegel) exercises. My dh says he im back to normal ( as tight ) I think hes just being polite.

Just wondering how everyone else finds sex post delivery!

Um, from what I know, pelvic floors are for life, not just for Xmas.

Seriously, just keep doing them, it's better for you, never mind your DH.

Did them straight away both times, mainly during the night feeds as helped to keep me awake!

Had epi/forceps with DS 4 yrs ago and 3rd deg tear with DD 6 months ago, so exercises were partic important this time. Am feeling fine and DH agrees! Although was slightly sore due to stitches for about 4 months.

Your pelvic floor exercises are to stop you being incontinent later in life, and indeed right now, and have very little to do with how tight or otherwise you might feel to your H!

Even if you feel fine now, your pelvic floor comes under a lot of stress during pregnancy and delivery and you may have latent damage to the nerves and muscles (i.e. hidden) which may well cause you problems in middle age.

So do your exercises right now, every day, for the rest of your life unless you want to be a TENA lady or worse, a colostomy bag lady like me.
