What do the hospital prefer you to do vis a vis grooming before a CS? I'm really not that hairy in general and wondering if I should just let hospital loose with a razor or whether I should get waxed or use immac or something? Half worried I'd irritate the skin in the area which wouldn't be great. Anyone get away with not needing to be shaved? Thanks!

Btw I asked re shaving once it became clear I needed a section as I had researched and current best practise is to not shave due to increased infection risk from open pores etc. I was prepared to argue against being shaved as I have eczema and really sensitive skin that is prone to infection anyway. As it was they agreed with me, it might be worth asking what your hospitals policy is.

He is lovely, I have tried to add a pic but it's not letting me.

And his birth would almost be funny it was so bad, had it not been so painful. Tbf the labour part though painful was okish as I did my other labour's with no pain relief really and it's a pain you can deal with. It was once we went to c section and the spinal didn't work and then the epidural stopped working properly I was like enough already. It would seem local anesthesia doesn't work well for me, so in future if I need any surgery I will have a general. They have put that in my notes, but I am not planning on any future surgeries!
