36+4 with DCDA twin boys and about to be induced any minute!!
I keep crying, I'm so excited and nervous and anxious and overwhelmed.

50/50 will end in C Section but I'm open to whatever is safest for my little boys!

Don't know why I'm posting except out of excitement and nerves..

Any advice or stories (good/bad)?

Hope everything is going well possum, the drip really speeds things up and getting the epidural isn't so bad and it's worth it if you are on a drip.

Just had waters broken after 2 hours of multiple doctors trying to get a canular in! 4 attempts later and they managed it haha!

After they had broken my waters I didn't realise they'd continue to run so I announced to the room full of doctors I'd wet myself BlushGrin

Good luck. I had ds1 via induction, was a smidge uncomfortable, but oh so lovely when he eventually popped out, he's now 4!

murphyslaws · 09/04/2016 09:46

Any news ?? Have they arrived???

possum18 · 09/04/2016 23:13

Hello!!
I have two beautiful baby boys!!!

Induction started Thursday lunch time, had my waters broken Friday at 6.30pm with the drip started an hour later.
Managed to get to 9cm by lunchtime today but then stayed at 9 for another 2 hours so had to go in for a C Section 48 hours after having the pessary and about 16 hours of active established labour. I gave in and had all the drugs they could offer, which was great!!

Lewis was born at 14.07 weighing 5lb9
Noah followed at 14.09 at a diddly 5lb1

They are in transitional care tonight as they have problems regulating their temps and blood sugars, I'm on a separate ward recovering from the section. I really miss them!!!

Oh well done you and congratulations Flowers, good weights and lovely names, bet you can't wait to get them back with you, sure it won't be long, hope you get a restful night. xxx

Thank you so much. I have been moved to a semi private room with a lady who has her baby with her which is very difficult when my twins are upstairs in TCU but i know it's best for them Thanks

Massive congratulations how wonderful GrinGrin

ButtfaceMiscreant · 10/04/2016 07:08

Congratulations! Beautiful names Flowers

Have you been able to visit them? Are you hoping to feed them yourself? If so I am coming up to 6 months ebf of my twins so happy to help with advice if I can Smile

I hope you get your babies with you soon; one of mine had to go to NICU for a few hours after birth which was not nice but I could visit with his twin and then go down in the night (leaving the other with the midwives in the nursery on the post natal ward) to feed him and then bring him up with me. It may be different for you depending what your twins need, but mine were on precautionary antibiotics so we stayed in for 3 nights post delivery and another twin mum who had a c-section was in for 2 nights. Just to give you an idea if it helps.

I hope you have your babies with you very soon. You just joined the wonderful twin club; congratulations!

lenibose · 10/04/2016 07:09

Massive congratulations. My full term son was 5lb 5oz so that's a brilliant weight. Hope the babies are back with you soon. PS DS also had a little trouble with blood sugars. We topped up with formula for a week and it was fine then.

Fitzers · 10/04/2016 18:15

Congratulations! Hope they are back beside you very soon

ispymincepie · 10/04/2016 19:31

possum18 · 10/04/2016 22:32

Thank you all for your kind words.
After being taken to TCU twin 2 was taken to Nicu in the middle of the night.
Didn't get to see him all day but I was transferred up to TCU to be with Twin 1 at lunchtime. By 6pm we were all reunited and all staying in TCU until we can go home!
Both boys struggling with temperatures and blood sugars.
I'm sooooooo in love and so glad tonight we can spend the night all together GrinGrin
