Hi, I'm relatively new to mumsnet, first time I've started a thread..My due date is tomorrow (first baby) and I've just googled what percentage of births are on the due date..answer is 4%...those odds are rubbish! Hmm anyways just thought I'd introduce myself and see if anyone else is around the same point as me and waiting patiently / not so patiently / what your doing to try to get things moving or if your had your babies and well any advice really on what in the world I've got myself into Grin

41+10 here, had 1st sweep yesterday - or make that attempted sweep, cervix has not got due date memo. Another planned on thur and if that doesn't work it looks like induction fri/sat. The sweep was with the 5th different midwife I have seen in 5 appointments at my local surgery but happily by far the nicest, really put me at my ease and has arranged to do a home visit for the second sweep as she will be able to best tell if anything has changed. All with no notice and as there is no local surgery on a Thursday - really impressive flexibility.

40+10 here too. Saw midwife yesterday and babys head is still free so unable to perform a sweep.

Got induction booked today, just need to call and get a time to go in!

Good luck with your induction today pixiwmiss , hope it all goes well Smile

Frenchfoodie surprised they haven't done a first sweep until now..fingers crossed it gets things moving and if not that Tomorrows one does..I have had my two sweeps so if nothing happens it will just be induction on Sunday for me..my first sweep my cervix had also not got the memo but by my second it has softened and is 1cm dilated so at least it is finally aware it needs to do 'something' Smile

Hope induction goes well pixie.

labradorlover (like the name, we have a lab and a lab x cocker at home), I opted to leave sweeps to this week, knowing I could still get 2 in. Fingers still xd for tomorrow's sweep but feel this may well go to induction.

I went over 42 weeks Grin

Labradorlover01 · 16/03/2016 20:40

Thanks frenchfoodie I don't think my lab knows whats about to hit him poor thing...he is used to babies and children but they usually go home...this one is staying..when he finally gets here!

ridemesideways also a good name! over 42 weeks is just cruel Sad

Any time now.... Smile
