No room At hospital! Possibly moving hospitals??

Hi, I will be 40+14 tomorrow with number 2.
I am keen to get things moving. I was booked in for induction today and there was no room so I was sent home. As of this evening there is still no room and I have been told that I am not highest priority so they can't admit me just yet. I feel shocked at this but nothing I can do. They have told me to call in tomorrow morning to see what the situation is then and as I was getting quite persistent thy have said occasionally they have referred people on to another hospital (not routinely) for the birth And that could be a potential route/option. This seems scary to me as I don't know the other hospitals thy are talking of - has anyone else had this sort of thing happen?! I'm hoping it won't come to that but am trying to prepare myself for all eventualities! I was induced at 40+11 with my first but he wasn't born until +13. I know people who have been induced at the hospital I am registered with and no one seems to have been in same situation as me they all seem to have just gone in on their induction day no issue!

Sorry what a nightmare for you. This hasn't happened to me but just wanted to offer my condolences. Stuff like this can really mess with your head when you are feeling so vulnerable. I guess it is not their fault they are just very busy. Hopefully in the morning you will have a bed. Best of luck

It's actually reasonably common, particularly for small maternity units in high population areas. My friend has a 10 day old DS. She went in to labour and there was no room at her chosen hospital. She remained at home as long as possible but still there was no room so they sent her to another hospital across town, when she arrived, they were full so they sent her to another hospital. The third one had room, good job as she was fully dilated!

I was admitted to be induced and our delivery suite filled up. I spent 4 days waiting in hospital. It sucks I'm afraid.
Have you made it clear to the ward that you would like to be admitted whenever the bed becomes free and not just in the morning? My second induction started at 11:50pm.

Yes. I am now on ante natal ward and made it clear I don't care about late night induction and also am prepared to transfer to another hospital if necessary.

I got called in at 11.30 at night after waiting 2 days. Waited 2 hours to see someone and was then told they had made a mistake calling us when I pointed out something in my notes. I refused to leave.
