I have posted about this before, so apologies. I am 40+2 and due to be induced for an attempted VBAC tomorrow via ARM. My 1st baby was an undiagnosed footling breech, I had an emergency CS at 5cm dilated, after going into labour spontaneously at 38 weeks. My 2nd baby was lost to a late missed miscarriage, he died around 18 weeks and was delivered vaginally at 21 weeks. He is the reason that I don't want to go further overdue, so please don't advise me to do so. (It's been a very long pregnancy, with lots of extra tests and the stress that brings, and I am worried about the risks of going too far overdue).
Anyone with positive stories about being induced for a VBAC? Google has depressed me and made me convinced I am going to end up with another caesarian. I have had 2 sweeps, starting at 40+3, and when she repeated it yesterday my bishops score was 6 (cervix 1-2cm and still 3cm long, but soft and stretchy). Since my first sweep last week I have had several "shows", a heavy mucus discharge (sometimes tinged with fresh blood), and intermittent period-type achiness. No contractions, though.
Anyone with any happy stories, that don't end with surgery? I'm starting to think I should have just had an elective caesarian weeks ago, but I really would love a natural birth.
