Mucus Plug (ugh!)

Hi everyone. So am nearly 32 weeks with number 2 and I'm pretty sure bits of mucus plug are appearing. Sorry! With DS1 I started losing it about 40 weeks I think and then went on to be induced at 41+4. I had thought that with the second the plug comes away even later. Anyone had this? On one hand I'd love him to come a bit early but not this early - not ideal for him and still getting over a broken foot! Thanks in advance x

6 months ago I was pregnant with my daughter. Around 33 weeks I seen some yellow type mucus a few times. I mentioned it to my midwife who didn't seem concerned.

At around 39/40 weeks I started seeing bloody mucus in chunks over a few days.

It meant nothing for me. I still went up to jy electice c-section date (wasn't allowed to be induced so had a section booked a week or so after my due date)

I think it rebuilds if you lose some of it.

If you are concerned speak to your MW. Who can offer you the best advice. Smile

Good luck!

I think it can grow back so I wouldn't get too excited.

Mine came away in a big lump just after a sweep. I was horrified at how vulgar it looked!

I lost my plug at 34 weeks. My midwife wasn't concerned as your plug can grow back. I was induced at 38 weeks pregnant.

I lost my plug at 34 weeks and had my baby at 37 weeks. The midwife just said look out for blood and pain but she said it's just your body changing ready for labour Smile
