desperate for a bubble bath after c section!!

Hi guys
Had my 4th c section 3 weeks ago!
Healing ok, except from a teeny tiny little hole right at one end of my scar!
No pain, weeping, bleeding etc. Have had a swab that came back clear and while I was waiting for results had a 7 day course of antibiotics just as a precaution!
My question is tho, can I have a bubble bath? So desperate for a nice hot bubble bath, a plain bath just isn't cutting it Grin

Can you get one of those big airtight sticky plasters they put over open wounds?

StillYummy · 10/01/2016 18:06

I wouldn't, it won't take long and you can do it without worry

I've had 3 C-sections and had baths with stuff in from as soon as I was out of hospital.

Did your midwife specifically tell you not too?

Natalieday1 · 10/01/2016 22:16

The waterproof dressing would probably work but there's no way I am putting one of them back on! Was agony getting the first one ripped off! Haha
I'm not through the midwife now, so she hasn't mentioned nothing!

I have an episiotomy currently healing and was told I can have a bath but no bubbles for 2weeks.

Natalieday1 · 11/01/2016 08:24

Yeah they did say that to me but that was before the hole appeared! I've been discharged from the midwifes so don't know who to see about it to ask? Seems a bit silly to make a doctors appt just to ask that Hmm

The day after my c section as soon as the catheter and drips were out the midwives ran me a bath in the hospital with some sort of bubble stuff in it. Obviojsly nothing had healed at that point

I can't remember if I used bubbles or not, but I added a few drops of lavender oil to all my baths once I got home. Lovely smell, relaxing effect and an antibiotic one too.

Not a C-section scar, but I had a skin operation on the back of my neck, was desperate to wash the gunk off my hair, and rang the practice nurse to check it was okay to wash it. She said it was - it wasn't! Ended up on a crap-load of antibiotics for weeks. Try and hold off as long as possible?
