Wednesday at The Royal Free Hospital

i have been present at over 20 births as a birth partner,I was present at all my grandchildrens' births. However, on Wednesday 11th November i was present at the BEST BIRTH EVER. My daughter went into the Royal Free Hospital in labour at 1.30pm everybody was so friendly and kind especially the final year student midwife . Even more important they listened to us and let my daughter have the delivery she wanted . We went into the delivery room at 3pm and my grandson was born at 3.11pm perfect delivery amazing midwife Annabel. The staff could not have been more helpful. This was the best care I have ever seen in London.Many Thanks to all the staff on the 5th floor both the labour ward and the scharlieb ward at the Royal Free Hospital.

msara160 Congratulations on your grandchild! Are you a Doula? Surely you don't have 20 grand kids- gosh how do you afford Christmas? Joking aside as a Doula I think it is so nice to read someone praising a hospital and their staff :) We are all so quick to criticise and not praise! I admire most of the midwives that I have come across and make a point of thanking the good ones :)
