Is this the start of labour?

Morning! For the past half hour / 40mins I've been getting an intense pain down there that lasts about 40-50seconds and is 6-8mins apart! Is this labour? I'm 40wks + 2 first time mum. Hoping it is the start

I found the start of labour like period pains round the back and tummy which just got more and more intense.

So exciting!! I was 40 + 2 with my boy and my labour started exactly like yours at 6am. :) good luck!!!

I ended up getting contractions for 46hrs babies position was stopping him push down, had my waters broke for me and he was born 12/11/2015 at 2:26am! Home now and he is so worth all the pain!
