C section scar infection - how long to heal?

hi my gp just prescribed some antibiotic cream Fucidic acid for my weeping scar which has come apart and a bit of pus. About 1 cm apart at the end.

It looks like most ppl get prescribed antibiotics. Just wondering how long it took ppl to heal. Feeling awful as I feel like I can't do anything. My partner has been home for 3 weeks which has been great to help take care of our toddler but he goes back to work on Monday and I don't know what I'm going to do!

I had about 3 holes in my scar, one of which got infected and was quite large (was a stitch that hadn't dissolved). Went to docs and saw a nurse who told me it would have to be packed and redressed daily. I panicked at this as wasn't driving, live on a hill and surgery is at the bottom of it so would have struggled to get there daily. Dr came in, said it was nonsense and to bathe itin salt water and make sure I got air to it every day. It took 3 days for it to heal. Good luck
