I know there's no definite answer, but wondering what you guys might think...i'm 37 weeks and the past 2 days, some serious back pain has kicked in. Generally feeling like I'm coming apart down there. I'm scheduled for a section at 39 weeks but I'm secretly hoping baby decides to come earlier. Do you think the back pain could be a sign?

Its definetly a positive sign that your body is preparing for the coming labour. Not a definitive "itis happening now" sign though sadly.

Is this your first?

I do hope it all happens soon for you!

This is my second. I honestly cannot remember how I was feeling with the first right before labour.

My two were so different. With the first id not had a single indicator of impending labout til I woke with cxns 3mins apart.

Second one I was getting BHs every couple of days to the point where id have the advised bath and painkillers and wait it out. Lasted about two weeks, drove me mad!!

At least you know being scheduled.in that in no more than a fortnights time youll be snuggling the baby Grin

You're right, 2 weeks and it's over, but my god does 2 weeks sound like an eternity to me right now!

I've had back pain on and off for the past 2 weeks, along with BH, tightenings, pressure, fanny daggers, you name it. Still waiting at 40+6! It all points in the right direction and suggests that your body is getting ready, but don't count on going into labour tonight!
