I'm due on Monday with my first (I know I shouldn't count on it 100%), we've been trying to keep busy this last week as it's dragged out so much! I'm now so out of ideas and finding myself thinking obsessively about labour, birth and all the rest of it. I keep being told to chill and relax but not sure how to I'm too excited!

So what did you do in the run up to the big day? Did you plan anything special? Ideas would be lovelyGrin

DS was 17 days early and I had absolutely no clue he was coming.
Luckily, I went to a big mothercare a few days before and did loads of stocking up and got measured for my nursing bras. The day before I met a friend for lunch and had a mooch round the shops, several miles from home, so I was really lucky I didn't go into labour then!
I actually packed my hospital bag in the morning of the day I went into labour, which was, again, lucky. Maybe I knew subconsciously.

Had my hair done, watched box sets, walked, bounced on the gym ball, shouted at people - I was heartily sick of being pregnant and I was only 40+4 when I went into labour!

As soon as I hit 37 weeks all I could think of was when is it going to happen! When I hit my due date it got worse! You can end up obsessing over it and I wish I didn't and just listened when people said enjoy some you time. I Was a week over and spent the last week getting my house all lovely and clean, watching lots of comedy and horror films and eating crap as I ate extremely healthy during pregnancy. I went for lunch quite a bit too. I also bathed twiced a day which I've never got to do since birth! Lovely relaxing baths, ahhhhh. Enjoy these moments and enjoy your bump and being pregnant because it's such a special time.
