Group B Strep and water birth

I have Group B Strep and been advised to consider water birth as tests show it lowers risk.

Has anyone done this? How does it work with gas and air/antibiotics every so often etc?

Was going to but when my waters went there was me indium in them so I couldn't used the pool as had continuous monitoring. With straight forward strep b delivery gas and air can still be used (over the side of the pool) and the antibs are given into a cannula in your hand every 4hrs and the line is disconnected between doses. You just need to keep that hand and cannula out of the water.

Depends which hospital. I had to go to the labour ward because of group strep b.

Thanks, had to be monitored because of memo icon in waters last time, forgot that possibility.
