Breech baby

Hi just wondering how likely it is that my bubs who has been Frank breech forever will turn. I am now 34+4 and he is showing no sign of turning. He has until 37 weeks to turn (maybe 38 at a push) after which time I have to have a c section (I have a cervical stitch and my doc won't let me go later than that with the stitch in).

Also anyone's experiences on what it is like recovery wise for a planned c section would be appreciated too!

Thanks

Statistically you have a very good chance of your baby turning. Mine never turned however, even tried an ECV that failed so I opted for an ELCS.

My ECV was bloody horrific and I would never recommend them.

My experience of an ELCS was lovely - very chilled way of having a baby if a little surreal after planning a hypnobirth in water though!

I recovered well and breastfeeding was not impacted. I had skin to skin in theatre.

I'm newly pg with #2 now and really hope I get to experience a vaginal delivery this time.

My DD turned breech at 36 weeks! Had section at 39. Had a gentle section birth plan. Loved it. Recovery far easier than first episiotomy and ventouse. Pain far less than this as well. Just rested a lot and concentrated on feeding baby. Still time to turn.
There are things you can try, acupuncture etc but nothing worked for me!

Mine turned the night before my 36 week scan after being like that for every scan and check up previously, so months without change. I did a bit of spinningbabies.com.

Hello April,
Mine never turned and I had a planned c-section. Recovery was ok - I went home the next day. I'm not going to lie it does really hurt in the week afterwards, as if you've been in a sword fight, but very quickly it has superficially healed. 6 months on I am right as rain. I'd say by 2 months I felt pretty normal, bit of tenderness in the scar. I was wearing the baby holder within 2 weeks and walking about no problem. I hope it works out for you.
