I had DD at QCCH in 2013 by ELCS (she was breech) and am currently 35 weeks with DC2, planning to go to QCCH again and feel like I am being very much pushed (sorry no pun intended) towards VBAC despite being given very little information on it, (other than mw and consultants spending maybe a total of 45 mins between them quoting stats to me and then telling me that my best option is to try for a vbac - "so I'll just put in your notes that your happy with a vbac then?"). Is it possible to just ask for another ELCS if I feel scared shitless don't feel comfortable with a vbac as I have no idea what sort of treatment I'll get there? No one has said no but no one has suggested this is an option. Confused

I've also been reading the thread on AIBU about dads being allowed to stay overnight on the post natal wards and wondering if this happens in the multi bed wards at QCCH?

TIA

Hi, gave birth 2 years ago at QCCH. Lots of negligences during my labour which caused unnecessary suffering and a very traumatic experience. 4 days in postnatal ward with staff from hell and treated with lack of respect. I couldnt move first night and my husband was not allow to stay. the staff wouldnt help me get the stuff from the suitcase or give me a hand to change nappies. I know people who had good experiences around the same time. Unfortunately its the lack of the day. Its a busy hospital whuch deals with complications from other hospitals. My birth was the least complucated in a night of difficult deluveries. I was abandoned all night without pain relief ir being checked until I was 9cm dilated and then I became another difficult one. I could go on listing negligences. Ill just say that im pregnant with n2 and ill keep as far from that hospital as possible. Havent decided where to go yet. Good luck whatever you do.
