Anyone got suggestions of where I can get a nice nursing bra, suitable for wearing to my wedding!!- not white or cream. Also can you wear underwired bras when BF?

Well the Elle McPherson ones come highly recommended and they do look a lot prettier than average. I've just ordered a 'Maternelle' in lilac (have also seen it in dark pink, light pink, black and white) from JoJoMamanBebe as this was the cheapest way I could find to get one - free delivery plus the Mumsnet 10% discount took it 'down' to £27. Or have a look at figleaves.com to get some ideas? Good luck and have a great day!

you aren't supposed to wear underwired bras because they can be too tight and dig in so may cause blocked ducts and or mastitis.

however....i wear them when i'm out of the house. i hate the shape nursing or non wired bras make me, i feel too 'loose'.

also, i don't actually ever wear nursing bras, i just wear a normal bra and push the cup to one side. dd is 6 months now, wouldn't have done this in the early days though.

If it's for a wedding, and you don't mind pushing the boat out, Agent Provocateur have just launched a maternity range!
ooer missus!

woweeee satine! check out the postnatal as well.

i loved this bra so much when i was bfing that i got it in 3 sizes (as my norks dwindles)

it is incredibly comfortable

Their stuff is just amazing. If you ever go into one of their shops you can't help but almost faint from the sheer bloody sexiness of it all! Gorgeous salesgirls in skimpy dresses, heavy perfume, boudoir lighting, the most incredible display of lingerie - I'd heartily recommend taking your man with you if you want to get him revved up for a good night (also the atmosphere seems to bewitch men into paying through the nose for it all!!)

I also like the Elle McPhearson bras. She does satiny and lacy ones in her maternelle range, the satiny ones als come in white and lilac. I also think Elle McPhearson also does more unusual smaller sizes, it was the only place I actually found a 32D. I used to get them from Figleaves. They are a bit more pricy than most bras, but I found it was worth paying the price for feeling a bit more sexy.

hello, i second tutter's suggestion - the anita bras are v good -figleaves have some very nice nursing bras - a good site to order from.
I have some Amoralia bras too - they have a website and can also be bought from from figleaves.

can't work out how to post a link but think you can get my drift!

Anita now do a special underwire nursing/maternity bra & v.nice it is too, apparently approved by midwives. Smooth cup, unlike many of the nursing bras. Think figleaves do it or try the anita website.

rebelmum1 · 28/11/2006 15:16

Go to a really nice independent lingerie shop they can order them in, and help advise

rebelmum1 · 28/11/2006 15:16
