How long did an induction take with a second baby?

I know there's a lot of variability, but was wondering how long an induction took with a second pregnancy? I was induced first time, given the propess by 6.30 pm, and delivered by 2 pm the next day. Early Labour probably started by midnight and luckily there were no further complications. Just wondering what to expect second time around, especially as I'm booked for 31st august and I have heard that it can be much quicker!

Induction started at 2pm ish, first contraction at 10pm and delivered by 1am as far as I recall. Very fast and a bit in shock after.

Drip started at 2pm. Contractions started properly 6pm and DC born 11pm.

Much faster than induction with my first. Drop started probably about 9/10amish and DC born at about 1.30pm. Too quick for an epidural, if I were doing it again I would ask earlier Smile All the best!

Thanks, does sound much quicker. Not sure I ll make it to sept 1st, if I am going in on 31st, but at least the prospect of a shorter labour sounds good,

First labour was spontaneous. Induction with 2nd at 42 weeks. Got the pessary around 10pm, went for a walk and then to bed. 8am waters went. 12pm mild contractions. 1pm stronger contractions. 1:15pm demanding gas and air Grin 2pm baby born!

So from pessary to contractions took a while, but once the contractions started it moved very fast.
