Water birth at home - pool recommendations

I am hoping to have a home birth and I'm looking into either buying or hiring a pool.

It seems like the inflatable pools are the main option these days following the legionnaire scare last year. Does anyone have any recommendation for which is best? The made in water pools are cheaper than the pool in a box but don't have a seat or as many handles.

I can't decide if it's worth it as both renting and buying is pretty expensive - seems a lot for a glorified paddling pool!! Especially as I keep on reading things saying they only cost £40 our £50 and I can only find them for £100+ Seems like they have capitalised on the market now that the heated pools are no longer an option :(

I was going to rent a birth pool in a box for £90 with everything needed but I ended up buying one. The pool itself had been used once but came with a brand new liner/hose/floor covering/thermometer etc all the accessories for £60 off a woman who had planned a Home birth but ended up being induced. I preferred to buy in case home birth didn't go to plan and I could sell it on and not lose out on too much. May be worth keeping an eye out on eBay/gumtree etc

I had a birth pool in a box eco mini, it was lovely, the water stayed warm and although it didnt have a seat, i wouldnt have used it, i knelt most of the time.

See if you have a local home birth support group as many of them hire them out a bit cheaper than companies

Also worth thinking about whether your boiler is a combination and/or can cope with filling the pool.

I went for a filter pool. It was before the legionnaires thing, but after reading a lot I still would again. That's me though.
