Please tell me labour isn't imminent!?!

I am 37 weeks with my third (DS was 9 days late and DD was 2 days late) and I think I just had a show (about a 10p piece of mucus but not blood streaked). That coupled with the fact that yesterday I feel like the baby dropped really low and now I am freaking out.

Can someone please tell me that they've had things like this and not actually gone into labour for a while - I am happy with my due date!!

Oh and when I lost my mucus plug in the last 2 pregnancies I went into labour the following day with DS and 2 days later with DD

Hmm, given your history it's possible but mucus plug doesn't mean a lot. I lost my first at 36 weeks and DS didn't come until week 42!

Are you me!! 37+2 worth DC3, DS was 11 days late and DD bang on time. I was happy with my due date but now I've had enough! I've had a bit of a show over the last couple of days and also feel like this one is really low. I'm now praying to the labour gods to get things started!

Oh Noodie you've given me hope that I have a few more days. I have so much still to do - nursing bras, selling our car and collecting new one, DS school shoes/pe shoes/pe kit. The list goes on!!

Why oh why would you want it to come out when you know (and I know) that its easier in than out?!!?

Haha, I was having niggly pains in Saturday and so spent Sunday in a blind panic of batch cooking and cleaning! It didn't help that my mum had taken all the baby clothes to wash so if I'd have had the baby before yesterday it would have been naked! I'm hoping that this one is easier out than in as I can barely put on foot in front of the other at the moment. Also out would be easier if it came now rather than the week that DS starts pre school

Well I'm happy to leave it in for now! No more shows today so fingers crossed it was just a small bit and no more shows up (ha ha)!
