C - section under GA with a cold?

It's looking like I will need a c section next week, and I have to have it under a GA due to spinal problems.

I've woken up with a cold today, so I'm just worried if they'll still be able to go ahead with the c section if I still have a cold on the day?

They should do. It completely depends how poorly you are. 'Just' head symptoms they shouldn't be too bothered, but they do sometimes delay routine surgeries for chest involvement/fever etc. of course a cs isn't something that can be put off like a hip op or a cataract :)

inform your consultant/anaesthiologist and they'll make the call. I think for just a regular cold they'd go ahead though. Good luck with it :)
