Nursing bra advise

Does anyone have any advise on the best nursing bra to get, and where is best to get them and also measured? Tia x

I bought from bravissimo as by the time I was able to get measured...37 weeks iirc I was knackered all the time, in pain from spd and couldn't get to anywhere decent to be measured. bravissimo base it on dress size and I've found them brilliant. I've never gone without an underwire before but these are fantastic :)

Bravissimo. Went when DD was about 5wks old. She snoozed while I was fitted. They're really baby friendly there - comfy seats to bf, gave me a little cushion thing to put DD down on (as I had her in sling). Was great as the one I got fitted at 36 wks pregnant was completely wrong by then!

If you have a rigby and peller nearby I would use them. They are excellent! I have the most comfortable nursing bra ever!

I loved my bodysilk seamless for pregnancy and the first few weeks pp when my size and shape was all over the place - supportive but stretchy. Best to get measured for something that fits more closely when things settle down as you'll get better support that way.

Hi I agree w other Jess, seamless bra from sainsburys so comfy. Just pull it down when needed. Cheaper and so much better than the nursing bra I got. Ideal for westing at night too. It's a bit like a sports bra but much more comfy.

I went to M&S for mine (the Marble Arch branch as that was nearest to work). The range was fantastic from comfy stretch ones that look great under t-shirt and supportive but you just don't feel them (I'm a 40DD at moment). They also had a good range of 'pretty' nursing bras to make you feel human and less of a milking machine afterwards and one of the range has a modesty panel (recommend totally for out and about in town). Works by putting your breast into a kind of large sock so when you flip down the front to feed - your boob is still 1/2 covered by the bra so you feel you're not exposing to the world (and gives your little one something to grab on and hang off other than pinching your skin!!!).

Try bras4mums.co.uk I got email & phone advice from them that was excellent despite usually being tricky to fit for normal bras. I always recommend them.

John Lewis were great for me.
I also got some sleep bras from mothercare.
