After a show did you go into labour with 3rd child? I've had my show today and just wondering roughly how long it took. A bit of background, I was induced due to pprom with dd (36+6), took 20 days to dilate from 2-5 cms with ds (born 39+5) and hoping for a better outcome but not sure if I'm kidding myself. I'm 36+3 and having pressure while standing/walking, period style pains and feel so restless. Hoping to hold on til at least Tuesday so I can still homebirth if possible.

No advice but I'm asking the same question but with first born..
Lost plug last night, been having period-like lower back cramps for 3 days now which are just getting worse

Had two children so can't comment on a third but both times a show was my first sign of labour and contractions Started within an hour or two. First time baby was born within 36 hours of the show, second time within about 26. Good luck.

Having contractions every 5 mins but they are not 'effective' again so have been kept in over night, had an hours sleep but no change in pains just waiting for morning rounds so I can see what's happening

I hope things start moving along for you soon. I've only had 2 babies but my show came along with my contractions with DS1 and I didn't even see it with DS2, his labour was fast though.

How are you op?
I lost my plug Thursday night, waters broke saturday 1:30am, had my little boy 24 hours later (today 12:48am) via epidural and forceps after a long ass labour and no progress after a while

Still same, there is talk of discharge they won't do internal despite pains intensifying again and still 4-5 mins apart xxx

Lost my plug the same day I went in to labour, but have heard plenty of ladies losing their plugs weeks before anything happening! Absolutely impossible to say until you are having proper contractions.

How far are you now?

Update : I'm dilating very slowly, gone from closed to 1 cm overnight so have come home to continue with home birth plans, apparently with the line progressing and other signs it's an issue with my cervix but consultant is happy that it will catch up soon. No pressure to induce, been given advice on oxytocin and on making sure I stay relaxed :) I'm 37 weeks on Tuesday xxx
