Dying hair when breastfeeding

Can anyone tell me whether it is safe to colour hair when breastfeeding? It is a permanent dye, not bleach or anything.
I would really appreciate some feedback.
Thanks!!

I think the issue is if you are putting it onto your regrowth/roots and the chemicals go into your follicles.

I have done it a few times since I have been pregnant (grey roots not a good look) and everything seems to be okay.

I coloured my hair (permanent) every 3 weeks (am a very prematurely grey old mare with fast growing hair!) throughout my first pregnancy and subsequent breastfeeding, and am now 38+2 with my second and have done the same through this pregnancy too (go tomorrow morning in fact!).

Technically, minute amounts can be absorbed into the bloodstream for the short time the dye is in contact with your scalp but no evidence has been found that it is detrimental to baby. look here

personally wd avoid - cd try henna or go to Aveda-type salon where they use natural products instead!
