Please help, if you have had an epidural

Thank you first of all for reading.

I have a decision to make and only one day left to make it, I am scared and freaking myself out so can anyone tell me bit by bit how it was having an epidural, what it felt like, what part was painful etc.

I have had 2 previous c sections but under GA and now they would like me to consider an epidural this time, I hate needles, I just don't know what to do, I just need to know what I am letting myself in for if I agree.

If you got this far then I appreciate it as well as any stories or tips. Thank you

Congratulations, glad it went well

loved my epidural, it gave me a bit of respite through my otherwise traumatic induction / labour and difficult birth. Without I would have not been able to sleep (had been in labour / slow induction process for 3-4 days prior to birth).

if i went through it again would def go for it given my experience.

it doesn't cut out the pain of pushing but contractions are gone.
