scalp electrodes turned DDs hair white

the midwife tried 3 times to screw sclap electrodes into DDs scalp.since the scabs fell out the hair has always been white in the 3 patches.she is 7mths old now, the rest of her hair is brown and she has 3 white patches.

has this happened to anyone elses LO?

i don't know what scalp electrodes are, or why they would be used. would you tell me please?

during the birth if they lose the babys heartbeat signal from the belt around your waist then they can attach an electrode onto the babys scalp to monitor its heartbeat.its supposed to be a hook and not cause any trauma but obv did in DDs case.i ended up having c-sect cos DDs head jammed.

cripes. that's amazing that they have changed the colour of her hair... i hope someone else comes along with an explanation for you soon.

My ds had the scalp monitor, but his hair didn't turn colors.
