Brown spotting will be old blood, so fret not.

Welcome to MN. It's addictive!

lulumama · 02/11/2006 17:24

whether that was a period or not is hard to say..if exclusively breastfeeding...i think it would be most unusual to have a period so soon.....about 6 weeks after the birth, by my reckoning.

the bleeding afer the birth can last up to six weeks and can be intermittent, so it could have been that starting up
again

if you had unprotected sex, of course there is a chance of conceiving....brown spotting four days after sex....? who knows??

brown blood is old blood......but hard to say why..

are you exclusively breastfeeding?

if not...there is more of a chance you could have ovulated..but would be hard to pinpoint when.........

you'll have to wait a couple of weeks to see if you are pregnant with a test......

oh oh........ could be implantation bleed.
I mistook this for period and 9 months later

you can take a test approx 14 days after unprotected sex....and some tests do work earlier...eg first response...i think can be used 4 days before period due.......

too early to panic.....do the test and then you can reassess the situation....

LIZS · 02/11/2006 17:49

If you're breastfeeding your cycle could be all over the shop for a good while. I had a period at 6 weeks then 8/9 then not till 5 months after ds !

MKG · 02/11/2006 18:43

rushee,

Don't worry. First you need to relax and wait and see what a pregnancy test says. Always remember that the universe doesn't give us anything we can't handle. Whatever happens you will get through it.

Ilovemyboy · 02/11/2006 18:47

Can implantation happen after 4 days? It seems a little soon tbh. I thought it could happen from 6dpo...
