Sun cream for a baby

Does anybody know whether normal 'kids' suncream can be used on a baby of 6 months? I am sure in the past when I have bought cream for my other children it used to say on the bottle not advisable for babies under 12 months. However, when shopping today none of the creams I looked at mentioned this. Have things changed?

JoT, suggest go for high factor plus sensitive skin variety. Better still is to keep baby covered up/in the shade.

There are lots of babies & kids sunscreans available now. We used an Ambre Solaire product on ds last year, factor 45 and the poor child came home the same colour as he left - still no worries about skin cancer!!
